A Simple Method for Production of DCA Hypertension in Rats

Abstract
Rats subjected to uninephrectomy and a figure-of-eight "renal tie," in which nor-motension persisted,were injd. with DCA. A prompt significant rise in blood pressure was obtained consistently in old rats. Similar treatment of young rats, either intact or uninephrectomized, was relatively ineffective even with extra NaCl.
