Abstract
On upper-gastrointestinal examination a patient with cirrhosis of the liver was found to have prominent gastric varices presenting as a pseudotumor near the cardia. The diagnosis of varices was confirmed by gastroscopy and angiography. A correct diagnosis is necessary to avoid an ill-advised biopsy or unwarranted surgery. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
