Abstract
Results are presented to show that resonance production occurs in a significant fraction (>50%) of the multipion final states with four or more outgoing pions. The data also indicate that the nucleon isobar is normally associated with and mesons in production. A large proportion of the and mesons observed in the multipion final states are the decay products of higher mass enhancements ().
