Abstract
Removal of the posterior lobe of the pituitary, by an improved method, on the day before the terminal (Ct) oviposition of the hen’s 2-egg sequence did not prevent or delay the onset of normal Ct lay, or of premature Ct lay induced by subsequent piqure of the preoptic brain. The completeness of lobectomy was verified histologically. (Endocrinology76: 673, 1965)Keywords
