Abstract
Anti-burn shock activity of therapeutic agents is measured in groups of rats and mice by repetitive testing. Commercial liver extracts contain a principle which decreases mortality and increases the survival time in burn shock when injected prior to scalding. This principle is not the anti-pernicious anemia factor. Intraperit. inj. of 5% of the body wt. with saline is effective against shock. Pretreat-ment with liver extract plus saline is more effective than saline alone. Keywords
