Abstract
Cobaltous acetate was fed as a supplement (500 mg. daily) to the rations of 8 cows for a period of 2 months by the double reversal method and the milk was analyzed for Co. Feeding the supplement consistently raised the amt. of Co in the milk. The avg. increase was 4-fold. The milk from cows receiving the supplement averaged 2.4 [gamma] of Co per liter in contrast with 0.6 [gamma] per liter when the cows were on the control ration. The possible significance of the results is discussed briefly. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
