Abstract
Dimethylsulfoxide and diethylsulfone, and their homologues, induced the absorption of heparin from the rabbit intestine.Using the criterion of prolongation of whole blood clotting time, it was found that the quantitative absorption of heparin, as induced by di-n-propylsulfoxide or di-n-propylsulfone, increased with increasing amount of sodium heparinate administered to the intestine. Keywords
