Adherence of Inlet Conditions for Selected Aerosol Sampling Instruments to Suggested Criteria

Abstract
The criteria suggested by Davies for efficient collection of representative aerosol samples are applied to nine commonly used aerosol samplers. The results strongly suggest that the physical dimensions or sampling rates of most of these instruments should be altered to ensure efficient collection of samples on which valid conclusions may be based.
