Description of a procedure for screening liver tissue for drugs such as amphetamine, methadone, strychnine, codeine, and methamphetamine. Results with both case examples and with ‘spiked’ tissue samples are presented. A modification of the gas chromatography system is porposed for automatic analysis and a simple gas chromatography system suggested for screening out negative cases. Keywords
