Removal of Intacs With a Fractured Positioning Hole

Abstract
Journal of Refractive Surgery | To the Editor:We report a case in which fracture of the Intac (intrastromal corneal ring) and subsequent loss of use of the positioning hole complicated the removal procedure. An alternate approach using a T-incision was performed, and resulted in the successful removal of the Intac and a return to postoperative levels of visual acuity.A 48-year-old male with a cycloplegic refraction of -4.50
