Abstract
The posterior silk gland of silkworm, Bombyx mori, L., contains two major tRNAMet species. Only one species can be formylated with N10-formyltetrahydrofolate using Escherichia coli enzyme. The product has been identified as N-formyl-methionyl-tRNA.
