Abstract
A simple analytic expression for the Coulomb-Glauber-Ochkur amplitudes is derived for the exchange scattering of electrons from hydrogenic ions. The exchange amplitude is combined with the direct Coulomb-Glauber amplitude, derived by Thomas and Franco, to calculate the exchange-corrected cross section for the process . The results are compared with other theoretical calculations and experimental data.
