Abstract
The magnetic properties of , a cuprate related to the spin-Peierls material , were studied. The magnetic susceptibility and the magnetization curve were measured. They revealed that this compound has a spin-singlet ground state and a finite energy gap between the ground and excited states. We discuss the origin of such a property of .
