Abstract
After direct injection of Mercox into the thyroid parenchyma [of dogs] corrosion casts of the lymphatics were observed by scanning EM. It seems reasonable to deduce from the following points that these corrosion casts were of the lymphatic system: variable size of columnar vessels; 3-dimensional anastomoses, occurrence of blind endings; V-shaped reliefs on parts of the columns, certainly indicative of valves; bead-like structures formed by closure of valves and depressions and surrounding saw-toothed figures on the surfaces of the casts, probably corresponding to the nuclei and boundaries of endothelial cells. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
