Aregenerative Anemia Associated with Benign Thymoma

Abstract
FOURTEEN cases of aregenerative anemia associated with benign thymoma have been reported to date in the medical literature.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 The present report adds 2 cases of the syndrome and describes an experimental attempt to produce anemia with an extract of the thymoma from 1 of the patients.The report of Humphreys and Southworth5 in 1945 first emphasized the fact that the association of thymoma and aregenerative anemia could not be ascribed to chance.
