Abstract
Aluminium-based icosahedral phases of the AI-T family (T is Mn, Mn-Fe, Mn-(CrFe)) have been investigated using neutron diffraction to obtaih insight into their chemical composition. Depending on the nature of the transition metal counterpart T, this composition has been found to correspond to Al/T ratios ranging from about 4•1 to 4•5.Keywords
