Abstract
Measurements of the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of cupric oxide show anomalies at two temperatures, near 230 and 215 K. These anomalies are consistent with an antiferromagnetic transition at 230 K followed by a spin rearrangement near 215 K.Keywords
