Abstract

A single-crystal X-ray diffraction study of trans-(PPh₂Me)₂Ni(σ-C₆F₅)(σ-C₆Cl₅)(R= 4·91%) shows the nickel–pentachlorophenyl distance of 1·905 ± 0·010 Å to be significantly (5·4σ) shorter than the nickel–pentafluorophenyl distance of 1·978 ± 0·009 Å.
