Abstract
A new type of electrostatic drift waves, which can exist in a plasma whose electrons can be grouped into distinct hot and cold components, is discussed. These waves involve electron dynamics only and can be in a higher-frequency range than that of the ordinary drift waves for which ion motion is crucial. Nonlinear states associated with these drift waves are also investigated. Keywords
