Abstract
The egg production rates of three species of rays, Raja brachyura, R. montagui and R. clavata, kept in aquaria are described. The first two species laid at a maximum rate of 0.5 egg perday and the last species at a maximum of one egg per day. Temperature affected the rate of egg laying, maximum rates being observed when temperatures were rising. Keywords
