Abstract
The effects of emotional as well as physical abuse toward children have become a matter of great concern and study among health care professionals as well as social scientists and educators. The signs and symptoms of child abuse are familiar to many professionals working with children. However, when violence occurs between parents but is not directed toward children, the effects on children may be overlooked or overshadowed by great parental need. Keywords
