Suprainguinal Ectopic Scrotum and Associated Anomalies

Abstract
Three children with a suprainguinal ectopic scrotum are described. Of 10 cases reported in the literature with this anomaly, 7 had significant ipsilateral upper urinary tract anomalies, while none of the reported patients with infrainguinal ectopic scrotum or accessory perineal scrotum had renal abnormalities. An ectopic scrotum probably results from a gubernacular defect.
