Abstract
Dielectric properties of antiferroelectric-antiferroelectric solid solution systems, (1−x)PbZrO3-xPb (M½W½)O3 (M=Mg, Co), have been investigated. Both the systems reveal two-phase separation of perovskite and pyrochlore structures in the intermediate range (0.3≤x≤0.7) of the solid solution systems. This paper deals with crystallographic, dielectric, and electrostrictive properties of the two systems with x<0.2. It was concluded that a new ferroelectric phase appears at room temperature in the range of 0.01≤x≤0.2, although both of the endmembers are antiferroelectrics. Dielectric phase diagrams are proposed for each system. Keywords
