Abstract
Trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMS-CN) enantioselectively reacts with aldehydes to afford the corresponding cyanohydrin trimethylsilyl ethers in good yields in the presence of a chiral tin(II) Lewis acid prepared from 1,1′-dimethylstannocene, triflic acid and (+)-cinchonine.Keywords
