Abstract
In the course of addressing a meeting in Red Square on August 18, 1962, in honor of the heroic completion of the first group flight of astronauts in history, N. S. Khrushchev stressed again and again the tremendous role of labor in solving the tasks that confront the Soviet people. "We are aware that many difficulties lie ahead; we must accomplish a great deal in order to raise our standard of living even higher. The Soviet people understand this well; they are aware of the fact that our country now possesses all the resources necessary to solve this task. We must mobilize their energy even more completely and apply work, work and work in order to fulfill the imposing Program adopted by the 22nd Party Congress."Keywords
