Abstract
Leptosphaeria discors, L. albopunctata, L. marina, L. maritima, and L. orae-maris are marine species known to occur in the coastal region near Beaufort, North Carolina. Leptosphaeria halima, occurring on submerged wood and on culms of Spartina alterniflora, is described as new. Leptosphaeria incarcerata and L. spartinae are considered synonymous with L. albopunctata. A new marine Pleospora, P. pelagica, is described from culms of S. alterniflora. Keywords
