Abstract
The rate of closure of defects in the integument (surgical or thermal) and the tensile strength of healing wounds are decreased by zinc deficiency in the rat. Zinc supplementation of normal rats will not improve the rate of closure or the tensile strength of wounds in the integument. Keywords
