Growth-induced anisotropy in yttrium iron garnet films grown by liquid phase epitaxy

Abstract
Growth‐induced anisotropies were measured by ferromagnetic resonance techniques in LPE YIG films which contained appreciable concentrations of impurity Pb ions. Values of KG u as large as 2.7×104 erg/cm3 were found. The growth‐induced anisotropy could be removed by annealing.
