Abstract
The spin densities in the cyclohexadienyl free radical are calculated using valence‐bond and molecular‐orbital approximations. The theoretically obtained values are in reasonable agreement with the spin densities derived from the electron spin resonance spectrum of this radical in irradiated benzene. Keywords
