Abstract
MONILIAL granuloma is a rare form of candida infection characterized by an inflammatory reaction extending into the corium and by the development of granulation tissue similar to that found in other deep mycoses. The refractoriness of the disease to any form of therapy is well documented, and the prognosis for life is poor.1 The following case of monilial granuloma is presented because of its association with hypothyroidism and the impressive response obtained with the use of amphotericin B.§Case ReportM.B.B., a 14-year-old adopted girl, had a long history of chronic and severe infection due to monilia.
