Abstract
The term "gain" is defined as follows: Given any physical system, its gain is the ratio of the magnitude of its steady-state response (or output signal) to the magnitude of a steady-state stimulus (or input signal) applied to it. Gain is not necessarily a dimensionless ratio; it can have a variety of dimensions. The proposed definition does not restrict gain to static gain. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
