Abstract
A method is descr. for continuous intraven. infusion of fluids in the unanesthetized rat. In rats infused continuously with glucose solns. for 6-14 days the total amt. of islet tissue was greatly increased, as compared to that of saline-infused controls. This increase was evident also when considered in relation to pancreas wt. or body wt.Keywords
