Abstract
The Inheritance of resistance to fusarlum wilt, caused by F. oxysporum f. sp. ciceri was studied in crosses between three wilt resistant lines (1231, 32/35-8/7, and 32/35-32/2) and two susceptible commercial varieties of chickpeas (Cicer arietinum L.). Evaluation of the parents F1 F2 and backcrosses to the commercial parent in a wilt nursery indicated that fusarlum wilt resistance in these parents was conditioned by a single recessive gene. The gene symbol rfo is proposed for the recessive gene for fusarium wilt resistance and Rfo for its dominant allele. Keywords
