Abstract

N-(Tri-i-propylsilyl)- and N-(t-butyldimethylsilyl)imines were easily prepared by reaction of N-(tri-i-propylsilyl)-N-(trimethylsilyl)- and N-(t-butyldimethylsilyl)-N-(trimethylsilyl)lithium amides with aromatic as well as aliphatic aldehydes.
