Abstract
A cloned DNA transcript of [chicken] ovalbumin mRNA was cut a few nucleotides away from the initiator codon, and fused in phase to the beginning of the E. coli .beta.-galactosidase gene. The hybrid gene was cloned in E. coli where it produces large amounts of an ovalbumin-like protein. This publication has 45 references indexed in Scilit:
