Interactive Computer Assessment of Large Groups: Student Responses

Abstract
A trial of computerized formal assessment using an interactive program, Question Mark Designer for Windows, resulted in a highly favourable reaction to the method of assessment. Completion times, questionnaire responses and informal interview data collected from a sample (116 respondents) of the 150 students who took the exam suggested that this method may enhance student examination performance in terms of speed of response and a reduction in perceived examination stress.
