Abstract
This paper presents a procedure for identifying a linear lumped parameter system. The procedure is then mechanised as an identifier. If the system to be identified is of nth order, then the identification technique requires n final value measurements. The coefficients of the transfer function are easily determined for the class of systems with n poles and no zeros. Keywords
