Abstract
Sickle-shaped cells were found in otherwise normal white adults. Approximately 3% of normal white adults and 5% of 100 negroes showed deformity of red blood cells similar to those found in sickle-cell anemia; their significance is questioned. A case resembling sickle-cell anemia in a white woman and other members of her family is reported. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
