Abstract
The use of video as a tool for teaching learning‐disabled students has distinct advantages because it presents information in a way that is more segmented, concrete, and inferential than traditional modes of instruction. The strengths of the ACHIEVE PROGRAM, an academic support system in use at Southern Illinois University, are touted. ACHIEVE is used to improve specific academic skills, such as reading and writing, and also social skills. Keywords
