Abstract
Extensive hyaline sclerosis and calcification of blood vessels were observed in 7 young rats in some preliminary expts. with purified B complex-deficient-diets containing 1% of sulfaguanidine, supplemented with thiamin, riboflayin, pyri-doxine, pantothenic acid, nicotinic acid and choline. The diet was given for 62 to 192 days. Whether this pathologic condition has its basis in a dietary deficiency induced by sulfaguanidine, or whether the sulfaguanidine or a compound derived from it has contributed directly to the sclerotic changes, is not known. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
