Abstract
Field surveys in Bengal in October and November 1962, indicated a scarcity of monkeys in observable roadside habitats. In Bengal one monkey group was seen on the average of every 160 miles of roadside travel, whereas in Uttar Pradesh in 1959 and 1960 one monkey group was seen on the average of every 10 miles. Keywords
