Abstract
The use of transgenic animals for in vivo mutagenicity studies following rescue of the bacterial lacZ transgene has been hindered by the sheer scale of the experimental work involved. We describe here a new positive selection protocol which is based upon a modified E. coli bacterial host. This new system is potentially capable of generating mutation data much faster and more cheaply than previous methods. Keywords
