Abstract
The status of radial artery cannulation is reviewed. The technique of percutaneous puncture, equipment in use, and known complications are discussed. Recommendations are made for precautionary measures to reduce the complication rate. It is concluded that radial artery cannulation is a safe and useful procedure in certain anaesthetic and intensive care situations. Keywords
