Abstract
New ternary compounds of the formula A2BX2 in the orthorhombical K2PdP2-structure, space group Cmcm, have been prepared from the elements potassium, rubidium (A -element), nickel, palladium, platinum (B -element) and phosphorus or arsenic (X -element). They are isotypic with K2PdAs2, K2PdP2 and K2PtAs2 and are characterized by BX2-zig-zag-ribbons surrounded by channel-like arranged alkali atoms. Another group of ternary com pounds with the formula AB2X2 (A = K, Rb; B = Fe, Co, Ru, Rh, Ir; X = P, As) is isotypic with KFe2As2, KCo2As1, KRh2As2, KRh2P2, ThCr2Si2-type structure (space group I4/mmm).
