Abstract
The interaction between trimethoprim and sulphamethoxazole was investigated in an in vitro model of the urinary bladder. At concentrations well within those achievable in urine using conventional therapeutic regimens the additional presence of sulphau1ethoxazole contributed nothing to the dominant activity of trimethoprim.
