Abstract
The increasing use and sophistication of total parenteral nutrition require primary care physicians to make a number of key clinical decisions and determinations. The guidelines provided by Dr McClave and coauthors can help physicians anticipate common problems, thus ensuring that patients receive maximal benefit from hyperalimentation.Keywords
