Investigation of Isotope Exchange Reactions between Organic Iodides and Sodium Iodide by a Simple Method

Abstract
During the investigation of isotope exchange reactions, a simple method was developed for the separation of organic iodides from sodium iodide. The method is based on gas chromatographic separation and detection of radioactivity in volatile organic iodides with a flow system surrounding a Nal(T1) scintillation detector. Some experimental results are reported; these indicate that the accuracy of the method was equally good or better than all previous methods.
