Abstract
The determination of reliable features with subpixel accuracy is an important requirement of any camera calibration algorithm. This paper offers a simple and computationally attractive method for extracting X-junctions with subpixel precision from images of calibration checkerboards by showing how the saddle points associated with them can be determined without any surface fitting required by standard feature detection algorithms. Keywords
