Abstract
A method is described for the zonal centrifugations of homogenates from glucose-repressed S. cerevisiae in which the buoyant densities of various plasma membrane fragments greatly depend on their content of heavy glycoproteins particles. Fractions S1 to S6 were isolated at specified densities and further purified. The chemical compositions, the oligomycin-insensitivity of Mg-ATPase and the specific activity of cytochrome C oxidase of each starting fraction and the main visible bands obtained from it on Urografin gradients are given. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
