Abstract
This paper explores the possible public health consequences of the widespread use of 2,4-D, 2,4,5-T, silvex, and picloram — primarily as they relate to the health and safety of man. The data presented emphasize exposure, toxicity, and chemistry. The herbicides used most widely are degraded and do not bioconcentrate. The conclusion drawn is that the widespread use of phenoxy herbicides produces no demonstrable evidence of potential harm to man if care is taken in their application. Keywords
